Today in a moment of pure joy I stepped inside our Town Cinema to see for myself the work and investment which has already started on this much-loved landmark - and which will transform it into a fabulous modern film entertainment centre.

I was both honoured and humbled today to meet Harold Jones, a remarkable centenarian from Royal Sutton Coldfield who, after being inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore, has raised £46,000 for Motor Neurone Disease by taking daily walks in his garden.
This is my 200th weekly message. Yes- 200th! I started it when our much-missed local newspaper The Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer closed, at least in part as a useful noticeboard for what is going on locally, as well as to keep my constituents informed about what their Member of Parliament is doing both here in the Royal Town and down in London at Westminster. I hope you continue to find it of use.
In my message this week I promised to update you on my third Royal Town Priority - our Town Centre. In the last few weeks, I have been able to report good news on investment in the Town Hall and the Cottage Hospital. Now, I have exciting news about the town centre.
As I mentioned in my previous messages, each week I will be reporting on my four key priorities for the Royal Town- the Town Hall, Cottage Hospital, Town Centre, and the Park. Last week I reported on the excellent news that we have secured up to £1 million in new funding for our Town Hall. This week, I would like to share some tremendous news on the development of the Cottage Hospital.
I want to express my profound gratitude to our Regional Mayor Andy Street for recognising how important to the Royal Town our beloved Town Hall is and the need now to gear up investment as part of the Regeneration of central Sutton.
