Royal Sutton Coldfield Great Euro Debate to be Live Streamed
Excitement Mounts for the Royal Sutton Coldfield Great Euro Debate this Saturday which will be streamed by the Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer.
More than 600 Royal Suttonians are preparing to hear heavyweight debaters put the case for and against Britain’s membership of the European Union at midday - this Saturday 11 June, as two sixth formers polish their speeches and constituents await the arrival of 4 of the clearest voices on this issue.
The motion – that “Sutton Coldfield Would Leave the European Union” will be proposed by the Leader of the UK Independence Party Nigel Farage MEP, and Rt Hon Gisela Stuart MP, Chair of the Vote Leave Campaign. They will be opposed by the Rt Hon Lord Michael Heseltine, former Deputy Prime Minister and Rt Hon Lord Paddy Ashdown, former Leader of the Liberal Democrats. The motion will be put forth by Mr Tim Clark and opposed by Miss Isabella Copplestone who are Mr Mitchell’s constituents currently studying at the Arthur Terry Academy and Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls.
The debate will be Chaired by the Town’s MP, Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP and is sponsored by the Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer whose Editor, Gary Phelps, will be in attendance.
The Sutton Coldfield Town Hall will be packed as tickets for the Debate sold out in less than half an hour. There will be a few tickets available on the day allocated on a first come first serve basis.
