Hotly tipped Next Mayor of West Midlands Andy Street is Guest of Honour at Sutton’s Westminster Supper Club

Andy Street the boss of retail giant John Lewis was guest speaker at the Westminster Super Club, which was attended by over 100 members of the Royal Sutton Coldfield Conservative Association, including the Association President, Cllr Margaret Waddington JP, Chairman, Cllr Ewan Mackey & Mayor, Cllr Charlotte Hodivala.

The event was held at Aston Wood Golf Club and was organised by the Sutton Coldfield Conservatives. The Association organises four Westminster Supper Club evenings each year as part of its calendar of events.

Andy Street who is the Chair of the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership- the body tasked with driving economic growth in the region- shared his views on the opportunities for Sutton Coldfield’s economy and discussed the role of the LEP in encouraging economic development and enterprise across the region.

Andrew Mitchell MP said “I am delighted to have welcomed Andy Street to Sutton Coldfield for the dinner and to speak to the Westminster Supper Club. Andy received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from our members who hoped to entice him to stand as the Tory candidate for the West Midlands Mayoralty next year and to get his insightful opinion on the current economic and political developments in the region following the Brexit decision.”
