Christmas “Thank you” Tour 2017

Andrew Mitchell has carried out his annual Christmas tour to say “thank you” to the emergency services throughout Sutton Coldfield for all of the work they do to support the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield over the year.

Starting with the Sorting Office, Andrew Mitchell thanked postmen and women for ensuring that Suttonians received all their festive letters and parcels over the Christmas period.
He then toured Good Hope Hospital with the Dame Julie Moore, the head of Birmingham’s Hospital Services, meeting staff and patients, especially thanking those who would be on duty over Christmas and the New Year.

Our MPs next visit was the Sutton Coldfield police station where he toured the station thanking Sutton’s police for keeping Sutton Coldfield and his constituents safe over the previous year, and particularly for their work over the holiday season.
The final port of call was Sutton’s fire station, where Andrew met the Duty Watch and thanked them for protecting Suttonians.

Speaking about the visits Andrew said “It is very important that we remember those who work hard over the festive period to keep us safe and provide essential services. I am pleased to be able to say thank you for their dedication and professionalism.”
