Boldmere Age Concern to get lucky if England v Panama game ends 2-0

Andrew Mitchell MP has visited Boldmere’s William Hill to show his support for the Football Shirt Friday campaign to tackle bowel cancer. The Royal Town’s MP was offered a free £50 bet by William Hill with winnings going to a local charity of his choice.

Andrew backed England to take on the underdogs Panama on Sunday 24 June, and if England beat Panama 2-0, William Hill will make out a £300 cheque on Andrew’s behalf to local charity, Age Concern in Boldmere.

Andrew said:

“Age Concern Birmingham is an important local facility which makes a real difference for the local community. A big thank you to William Hill and fingers crossed for the big game this Sunday!”

William Hill staff donated £2 each to wear their football shirts to work for the Fund’s Football Shirt Friday campaign. In the last 3 years, William Hill have contributed £214,000 through their partnership with the Fund, which is supporting research into bowel cancer.

Collection tins will be placed in all shops throughout the World Cup for patrons to make further donations.
