Andrew Mitchell MP opens Boldmere Music Festival

Boldmere’s music festival has returned for the third year running drawing together over 6000 shoppers and the local community. The Royal Town’s response to Glastonbury was again a great success. Shoppers enjoyed the atmosphere and community spirit generated by the variety of local stalls and live entertainment, which made for a great day out for the whole family.

The music festival was organised by the Boldmere Traders Association to bring together music lovers, community organisations and local residents for a fun-filled Saturday on Boldmere High Street. The size and ambience of the crowd showed just how popular this event has become and the success local communities can when working together.

Drawing on past successes 2017’s music festival truly stood out as the community’s best effort yet. Royal Sutton Coldfield’s MP Andrew Mitchell opened the festival to begin the afternoon’s entertainment.

Andrew Mitchell said “Events like the Boldmere music festival show the success local communities can have by acting together. I would like to thank Martin Pedley along with the Boldmere Traders Association for all their hard work in setting up this event. Glastonbury may draw the bigger crowds but people of the Royal Town know it doesn’t compete with the Boldmere music festival.”
