Andrew Mitchell MP celebrates successful first year anniversary of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce
The first anniversary of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber was marked with a celebratory bash at the Belfry Hotel and saw the Town’s Member of Parliament and Mayoress celebrate alongside Chamber’s members and supporters.
More than 100 delegates were present to celebrate the first 12 successful months of Sutton Coldfield’s Chamber of Commerce, conceived by Suttonian Paul Faulkner who is also the Chief Executive of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.
In its first year the Chamber has seen a surge of groups interested in joining the network of prospering and ambitious businesses who meet regularly to build on their knowledge, skills and trade.
Opening the celebratory summer barbeque Mr Mitchell said, “I’d like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for everything they do in Sutton. The Chamber has exceeded expectations under Paul Faulkner’s leadership and I am sure it will continue to thrive in the year ahead.”
Chief Executive Paul Faulkner said, “When we launched the Sutton Coldfield Chamber 12 months ago we weren’t really sure what the response would be.
“But the turnout on the day of that first event was phenomenal. We had about 130 people there and since then the Sutton Chamber has gone from strength to strength.”
